We are so thankful for the Lord’s blessings this past year in the Gospel Furthering Fellowship. No, not everything was perfect; with man being a sinner, it could never be. But the Good News is still “that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Tim 1.15). HE lives that we may live, and all that put their trust in Him will live – and they will live forever with Him. That is Blessing such as the world could never give. NEVER.

Perhaps the greatest blessing for us at the Fellowship Headquarters (Myerstown, PA) was the number of our people that traveled through here in 2016. The last to leave were Moises and Rosa Campos. While we miss them, we were delighted to see them – they are going to start a new church outside of Barcelona, Spain. There are a few believers in the general area where they are going, but church-planting in Spain (indeed in all Western Europe) is a MONUMENTAL task. As busy as we all are this time of year, let us please not forget to pray for them. People love the ‘Christmas’ season as such, but most Europeans are very, very difficult to reach with the Gospel. Incredible amounts of prayer and perseverance will be needed for this ministry.

The greatest blessing that we could give to people during this time would be the Gospel story. Any other gift that we could give will vanish (too) soon. As the Apostle Peter puts it “the grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endureth forever.” (1 Pet 1.24-25). Many hearts are tender this time of year. As we have opportunity, let us give them the gift which will NEVER fall or fade.

May the Lord bless you richly in 2017, as you serve Him.

For the Gospel’s sake,

Bruce P Busch
General Director
